Same problem earlier this year - fixed with a £12 kit from Eurolockz on fleaBay. Technically easy to fit but somewhat fiddly. The kit was a perfect fit and looked like proper OEM VW parts.
Its worthwhile cleaning & re-greasing the locking mechanism at the same time as its usually this that stiffens up and puts strain on the lock barrel tongue that simply fatigues as its made of that weird, soft alloy stuff that VW seem to love.
I also cleaned & regreased the window runners at the same time & now one electric window is super smooth, quiet & speedy!
