Low BHP results

Went to Santa Pod over the weekend and they had a rolling road so thought I'd have a go to see roughly what it was pushing out.
I have a Revo stage 2 LCR with the usual additions (Blueflame exhaust, bigger intercooler, BMC CDA, 4-bar FPR, etc) so was hoping for about 280bhp.
I have noticed a hell of a power increase since I bought it standard a couple of years ago.
A few mates used the rolling road beforehand and they got results close to what they were expecting, however, when I had mine done they could only get 205 bhp
On the 1/4 mile I managed to get a 14.6 @ 98mph.
Do you think something is wrong with the car or do you think there was just an issue with the rolling road?
They told me there was an issue with the air flow sensor and it should be replaced. Running a diagnostic on the car did not bring up and errors so I'm really confused.
Any help on how to test the problem would be great :)

how long between running the car last and then on the rollers?
did it have a fan on the roling road? if so how big?

Im thinking heat soak could have been a big issue.

The 1/4 mile time is fairly good, not outstanding.

It is possible the maf is playnig up and not showing a fault code, however what did they do to come to this conclusion? did they plug a laptop in and take some readings? or just guess?

them portable RR's are not the most accurate so ive heard.

get it to a reputable RR or perhaps a revo dealer with a RR to have a look for you.

Lots of things to consider with the bhp on a RR, was there enough brake for a turbo car to use, weather, was it outside in heat, airflow what gear they did the test in, all these things.

I hadn't used it all day and then just drove it straight to there to test.

Yeah there was a giant fan right in front of the car. Was probably about 2m in diameter. It was done under a large tent and the weather was not baking at this point.

The test was done in 3rd gear.

They just took a guess at it but said its quite common on these type of engines.

Just need a way to test to see if that is the cause of the problem but don't really want to buy a new one if it's not.

If it was about 250bhp then I wouldn't have been bothered but 205 is way off what it should be.

RR's are usually done in 4th gear from my experience.

maybe your clutch is slipping?

i'd take it to revo and get them to test it after checking all the obvious

is that the "calculated" flywheel figure or the wheel figure?

Yup, could be a wheel power figure, but that doesn't explain the 1/4, unless you just f'd it up!
Clutch slipping could cause both but i'd hope a RR opperator would be able to spot this!!!
as far as i remember the RR should be done with a gear ratio as close to 1:1 as poss!
Which would be 4th or 6th - I think!.

Its not great either though. My 240bhp 1.8T Toledo did it in 14.31 seconds @ 99mph.

Just had a new uprated Sach clutch and single mass flywheel so it won't be that.

It was the flywheel figure.

Think I better get it checked out.

Probably a daft question but if I remove the MAF sensor (is that the one connected to my BMC CDA?) would that be a way of finding out if it's working properly or would that just break the car?
