Ive got a Brisa Blue (my choice) Stylance 2.0 TDI with 17" rims with chrome tailgate and lower front grille set. It looks great to me especially in the sun, because the shade of blue changes and it shows off the body shape. Maybe its a regional thing, because people still look at the car in the carpark even after 20 months.

So Gary, are you really suggesting that my car will be worth £1000 less than the other colours? I do hope that this is not the case, otherwise I won`t be buying another one so soon.

No, thats because its a Stylance and therefore not just appealing to the sportier end of the market as an FR is but it will I'm afraid be worth less than say a red, black or silver but then again so would a dark blue which is known in the trade as "Doom Blue".
A good indicater of how a car in a certain colour will hold its value is to see how many of them there are around in that colour in other words how many peolple wanted to put their hard earned cash into that colour when buying new.

I remember back to the days when I was a salesman, on commission, selling Toledo Sports, Cordoba SX's and Ibiza GTi's and how I'd do and say just about anything to curry favour with the customers because I didn't really know if I'd still be selling SEAT's when the client came back with the car in 2 or 3 years.

'Hi, if anyone wants to see the new "Custom Pallete" colour that SEAT have brought out come down to our showroom and see the Lumina Orange in the metal. We've just had a 1.4 Sport with 17" alloys delivered in that colour and it really is stunning.'

so, the blue one irfan has looks crap, but the 'orange' car you have is stunning.

old habits die hard me thinks gary.

I think the blue looks great and will prob be a good seller. There are lots of companies doing lots of shades of blue.

However........when I see an orange car now I just think of the ASBO ST. Not a dig at ST drivers at all as I think it looks great, although I wouldn't drive one. Its like Ford started the orange thing and others are trying to cash in.

Same with white I suppose. VW brought the white Golf back and now loads of companies are doing white now...........and not all look good with it.

Just my opinion of course.

Can't wait to see a blue K1/BTCC Leon. [B)]

I'm not trying to sell the Orange one its already sold but lets face it when was the last time you heard mid blue descibed as stunning

Why not ask the Mk 1 boys and see how many of them bought the Extreme blue, there was a flurry of orders when it first came out then most of the stock ended up in the SEAT closed auctions.

I never really liked Extreme blue, but was always of the opinion that a nice metallic blue would have looked great on the Mk1 Cupra/FR/R and the Mk2's.

I did also like the copper colour they did.

Have to disagree with Gary on this one. I can see where Gary is coming from with regard to certain shades of Blue such as the Extreme Blue but on this occasion it looks awesome. If I were buying again I may have been tempted towards a Blue K1.

I think it looks great in the speed blue something a little different.I notice they have slightly altered the front bumper slightly the 'air intakes'are now smooth where as before they had four ridges running along them and the mesh on the front lower grill has also been altered it is more of a square mesh rather than a honeycomb effect.Just a subtle difference for the K1 or maybe just a newer version aero kit ?.

You mean respray your car?
You would be able to get the paint if you have the paint code.
It would be far better to buy a new car.
