In the week the new Exeo saloon and ST officially launch in UK showrooms, ambitious Spanish motor maker SEAT is underlining its intention to compete in other new sectors of the car market with first details of an exciting addition to the Ibiza line-up.

Yer, kind of you can see the family resemblance but the A3 would be based on the Golf/Leon platform. Fabia/Roomster chassis maybe?

they used to do the fabia estate,not sure on the latest offering.
we've been needing this from SEAT for ages,no estate car from them since the vario,it just seemed to miss a big market.

Aye, it's a sector they have ignored for quite some time but with the Exeo ST later this year and the Ibiza ST next year they will have two Estates out in the wild.

ST means something quite different in this scenario though doesn't it, and I doubt it will be badged 'ST' at all.

Na bud ST has always ment Sports Tourer, same as GTI is Grand Tourer

ST - Sport Tourer or Sports Touring simply means it's an Estate car in SEAT's world.

Just like the forthcoming Exeo ST.
