so far its running ok idle speed aint going up and down and no back firing. just bin reading other threads on bov's and there seems to be a lot of bad things being said bout them like it reduces the life of the cat and engine / turbo e.t.c just in two minds wether to keep it 50/50 of fully recuirc whats your verdict on them.

sorry to drop in on your thread guys.
just fitted a gfb hybrid valve over the weekend was running fine for a few hours then could smell that it was overfueling it stalled on me once and tried to stall twice i have adjusted it and seems to be fine at the mo. but it seems like its using more fuel dont know if its cus im probally boosting quicker or if it is still slighty overfueling anyone had the same prob.

could be that you want to he\r it more tho so you rev. mine seems ok on fuel.

ye spent most of the weekend doing test runs that drank a lot of fuel from stopping and starting mite just be that because im watching the gauge im noticing it going down. normally a full tank plus a tenner will get me work and back for the month. so once i put a full tank in i should know.
anyway does loughborogh still have its cruise meets gaz.

aint got one of these myself but after research it was either a gfb hybrid or a turbosmart kompact dual port (thats the one you want) got a gfb of ebay last week for 60 notes.
by the looks of the one in the pic its blow off only and wouldnt go for it.
but ive heard good things on the turbosmart kompact dual port.

I've had mine for a while now but i have given up on it. I have had the same problems as DanAPR and i also have a coldside relocation kit, guessing this might be the problem. Might give it one more go on the weekend, if this fails then it might be on the for sale section.
Dan is yours running back in the original DV position on the TIP?

Hi mate, no, mine is fully recirculating using the blanking plug on the cold-side. To be honest, it is well loud enough for me like that, i have a custom s/s 3'' turbo intake, so sounds pretty mad blowing into that! It could be more the problem though due to be being close to the MAP sensor. My 007P worked on the hot side, but the 50/50 still made it hit limp.

been wanting to get a stainless system for some time now shud sound gud with the d.v.
forgot to mention fitted a boost gauge bout month before getting the dv. hitting 1 bar pressure foot to the floor before. after fitting still hitting 1 bar pressure. if it was overfueling or leaking would the reading still be the same or would it dip/peak

i dont think it is mate altho when we was going to the derby meet a few month back we seen them all lining up to go into halfords. i used to go years ago but people ruinned it by doing donuts n spinning the cars up and stuff.

mine sounded the same as a 007p probably a bit louded seemed to chatter a lot more at low revs when i let off. thats with a bmc cda kit.
took jaskandol1 in mine last night with it open. it seemed to be running ok to me.

Just fitted mine...and it sounds gooood :D Quiet when taking it easy and oh so loud when you floor it.

Set it on 2 turns soft of the tightest setting. Another turn and it doesn't idle too well. Also noticed a slight increase in fuel consumption. Will need to test it over a whole tank though.

One thing however, my boost gauge vibrates quite loudly when I put my foot down. Peaks about 24-25psi and holds about 19-20psi. Autogauge jobby. Any ideas on this?

Is it possible opening to atmos increases fuel useage? As mine seems to have suffered since opening the valve up :(

ive got a gfb hybrid 50/50 bov basically exact same setup when that was fitted i noticed the car was drinking fuel more than normal. from what ive read there is a small increase in fuel but its only a small fraction during gear changes. hardly noticeble tho.
think i was the reason why i was going thru more fuel because i was putting my foot down more to hear the valve whoosh.

you can but a silencer connector to go on the back of your boost gauge that stops that.
