if you press the accelerator and brake at the same time the engine cuts out... not that exciting but worth knowing!!

That turns off the interior alarm sensors, so you can leave dogs and mother-in-laws in the car

I thought the LCR only has alarm triggerd by the doors ?

I cannot find a sensor inside that 'measures' movement ?

(i just discoverd my LCR had alarm, when i was to try if my capacitor for audio turns off in the booth, so opened booth with the rest closed and i started yelling :D )

I discoverd while ago that if u turn the mirror mover inside the car all the way pointing to the back it automaticly folds both mirrors, reckon some ppl find it out faster hahahaha

to bad it is not triggerd on the doors locking and unlocking

sensors are in the rear passenger light fittings

Mine also has heated wing mirrors,

When you put the de-mister on for the rear windscreen,

If theres rain on your wing mirror it will clear them:D

Bit of a silly question here but how do you know if you have turned the interior sensors on or off?

When I push button it doesn't seem to do anything and I'm not sure if it was on or off to start with?

i learned something else today

the window regulators are made of cheese. the window made a gravelly noise on the way up, and i was stupid enough to open it again to see what it was. it then broke on the way up :banghead2

now the whole thing's knackered and has to be held up with some paper wedged in :(

Easy to fix, take the door card off, pull out the old snapped cable, put new one in. take about an hour.

Really?! The first time I pulled the boot liner up I pulled by the little cord, and when they lined up perfectly I figured it out!! haha

funny thing is since iv had my car iv had to use the spare three times all caused by nails but never needed the hook as i can hold the boot liner with one hand and use the other to lift the wheel out its not like they weigh much

i found out a few weeks ago whilst, taking my mates mk4 gold apart for breaking, that when you fill up for fuel there is a little switch inside the hole where you stick the pump in. If you hold the switch toggle thing down it fills up the 'over flow' pipes for the fuel tank so you can get a little bit more fuel in ever time!. when you do it you hear a sort of suction noise as you hold it down.

I'm not like you guys...
known as "venting" that mate. And regarding the hook in the boot, Im a "High Performance Tyre Specialist", and most cars have somethin to hook it up ;)

One thing to know, is never take the jack covers off the skirts, its just not worth the aggro (theyre sometimes a swine to put back on), if your careful u can jack a car without removing them off the wishbone mounts or any other solid piece :)

Also managed to get the climate control diagnostics to work lol, was pushing the wrong button

Lol

something i've learnt, the FR+ diesel actually weighs LESS than the Cupra R petrol. so next time any diesel owners see a cupra r owner dont forget to shout, "eh fatty boom boom! want another cream cake?" in an Ali G accent
