hi guys on inspection of all the hoses under the bonnet my ive noticed that all the black vacume hoses are seriously corroded and are crumbling apart when you touch them!!

ive noticed a few people on here have got the silicon vacume hoses fitted, what size diameter hoses do i need (internal specs) so i can fit them to the cupra??

weve noticed the power has gone a bit crap recently, i reckon this could be one of the reasons were down on power!

any ideas chaps??

Id get 4mm hoses mate not 3mm and you'l need about 2metres to replace the whole lot

Why would you get 4mm? when 3mm is nice tight fit, tighter the better?

Forge will sort you out with 3M for around a tenner, add seatcupra.net discount into the comments box to get your 10% off ;)

4mm Vac Hose?

might sound like a dumb question but... having never been under a bonnet on any previous cars, what do the vac hoses look like.i would like to replace them all if poss. how can i tell them apart from any other hose. i have done the n249 bypass and have about 2.5meters of hose left over that i want to use up. could someone please help me out. a diagram would also be very helpful so i can see a rough location of where to find these hoses. cheers in advance

cool beans! i'll order some up now!!!

cheers

will i need to replace any of the little plastic t-pieces do you think??

The windscreen washer t piece avaliable in halfords are really good replacements for the beige t pieces, same shape and size but seems to be a tiny bit thicker and of better plastic.
