No we bought it second hand, it does indeed play MP3, but no aux:shrug:

I will call Seat and see what they say...

My dad has an early 07 Leon in spain and has the AUX

No problem. I'd be interested to know if they solve it by replacing the unit, or just fiddling with wiring, so if you wouldn't mind posting back here once it's sorted....

I'm sure my button says "cd/aux" which yours does not.

When I got mine replaced and I pressed the button, it kept saying "no cd changer". The stealers had not programmed it correctly, so I borrowed a mates Vag-com and sorted it myself. But as you have the port I would expect it to be connected. Maybe you need to connect Vag-com to get it too work, dont trust the stealers.

**edit**

Mine does have cd/aux

I had the same problem when I got mine in April 08 also an 07 model. After much back and forward to the dealer, they eventually believed me that it was the wrong stereo. They told me it would be replaced but after a few weeks I heard nothing. Went back to them and they said they were in short supply and awaiting for this type of stereo to come in. I kicked off so much and considering I worked next door to the dealership I was able to anooy them every day. So inturn they took it out of one of the models on the lot just to get me out of the way. Dont let them fob you off.

What a nightmare, I just spoke to the dealer again, they will look at it in early September when the cars in for another issue, they said if it needs changing they will have to order it in...

On the other side, I called Seat UK and they confirm that they stereo should have the Aux capability and shows the Aux function

Right cars finally been into the stealers, and yes seems a build fault, they are ordering a new one up for it, also the car needs a new steering rack as I noticed strange noises from the steering

Update to radio

Update to this, the claim was processed to Seat UK for the radio and they wont cover it, they say this kind of thing has to be reported within 600 miles of the car use, they said they can order it in and me pay £500 for it  and try and claim it back, sod that[:@]

Your contract for the supply of the vehicle is with the dealer, not with SEAT UK.

Make it their problem to claim back from SEAT, not yours.

No, BUT the car was a Seat UK car, so they owned it first:blink:

So, they're claiming that you can't claim for the stereo because it had to be claimed within 600 miles, yet there's a good chance that they owned the car up to that point?

Oh, the irony...
