Jacking up a lowered car?

Hello all, here's my dilemma

I like to do as much work on my LC as I can but it's a ball ache to get it up in there and on axel stands to work on it safely. Now my cars lowered I have to drive it on to 4 engineering bricks (2 each side) to be able to get the standard jack of death out, put on top of 2 more engineering bricks, crank it up till I can get an axel stand underneath it and lower it back down on it and repeat the process for the other side.

Surely there's an easier way of doing it, tried a trolley jack but didn't get the car high enough on to the axel stands plus it damages the sills when using it, the bottle jacks are too big to get under it and ramps are expensive to buy and useless if you need to take the wheels off.

Any sensible ideas?

Cheers

I use the trolley jack but dont jack it on the sills, i jack it on the chassis near to where the wishbones mount. Lifts it high enough to get on my stands. :D
