Mods out weighing map?

Basically im running a mild map (Revo called it that when they checked out my ecu for me)

Powerflow cat back
FMIC
Open jetex filter
Forge tip
Turbosmart
Coldside relocation
Usual bypasses

Everything was fine but since fitting the coldside it would occasionally cut out when slowing down at junctions etc

Then since fitting the tip, it back pops alot! tonight approaching a red light heard a huge bang! from exhaust and then it cut out

Could mods be out weighing the map now and i need to go for a proper stage 1 map?

It was rolling roaded a few months ago with cheap ebay filter, standard tip, 007p without coldside and i was told everything looked fine and it was healthy etc

Dont think so. Cutting out could be an airleak.

Have you got it running since it cut out? Big pop could have been a misfire if the TIP came off.

When it cuts out it starts straight away, only does it the odd time if im stopping, put the clutch in and revs just drop all the way down and it stalls basically

The tip is still on the turbo, obviously to some the back popping is a good thing, but for me it didnt do it before so im thinking its a bad thing lol

But im getting these loud ones quite often, it only does it when slowing down, gets to about 2k and off it goes like gunfire

still boost as normal too

I ran it in the normal position for few months without problems since fitting the tip ive even adjusted it about 1 and half turns harder but didnt make a difference

I'd try adjusting you DV as when setting up my turbosmart one over day when I turned it too much it back popped like a mother f****r and also cut out like you said

I'd just try tightening it up some more and see how you get on

Mine is turned all the way to hard & it been fine.

Harder is more recirc, softer is more atmospheric so that will explain why you havent had problems lol sounds like your running fully recirc

Ive had mine setup for months now and its been fine, your supposed adjust it every mod you add so ive now adjusted it a bit harder again (due to adding the tip)

Stalling has gone and the general shitty running has gone too

Had the car looked at and fuelling etc seems fine so hope its sorted already

Revo dont really do mild and wild remaps, its a case of turning the boost etc down.
Speak to Revo or get someone local with vagcom to measure your boost etc and log it. Your mods are pretty basic bar the relocations which are really a waste of time to be honest.
I had a larger Intercooler etc also on my cupra (LC) and the usual revo remap was fine, I went for stage two as it was only 50 quid dearer.
When you put in a larger turbo etc thats when you need a far more customised map.

The car Hasnt got a Stage 1 mate

I bought the car being told it had a revo stg1 remap

But with the sps controller not working i took the car to Revo and they confirmed it was NOT their software and described it as "unknown and a mild map

Thats why i was thinking it may have been a problem and i actually need stage 1 software

In that case, it sounds like you have either a leaky vacuum pipe or possibly faulty sensor.
Have you had vagcom on the job yet to show any fault codes? That must be your next step otherwise you might as well spit in the fire for all the good it will do matey.

Vagcom brought back no fault codes

I think its down to the Turbosmart tbh

I adjusted it to fully recirc for couple of days and it seemed ok so it obviously needed re-adjusting after fitting the TIP etc

Ive heard storys of it making the car cut out and run crap but didnt think it would make it that bad

Guess ill just see how it goes as it seems fine so far and its probably open half as much as it was before, still sounds just as loud too
