I am pretty sure it will be here bud. Mine has not been loaded onto a transporter yet either so I am hoping it is here before the week-end.

About the delays and the deliverytime:
I wonder if anyone of you guys have hard the same as i have. About a week after i ordered my car i called the dealer to see if there had been any progress. He told me: "One week, the factory makes cupras/bocs, and another week they do the diesels etc.." I Wonder if that was just him talking rubbish or if it´s really true? It cant be an effective way to produce cars if that is true.. And it would explain the long wait for us buyers.

Thinking of this, and reading on the forum i have noticed that it can be some truth in what he said. A couple of members here are getting their new cupra/boc this week or the next week, and i know from reliable sources that a shipment of cupras are coming in to Sweden next week. Its almost as far to Sweden from Martorell as it is to the UK, so what do you think?

yes that is how they are built, they do it this way due to thhe different body styling... on the cupras/bocs, to the ibiza. it isnt a silly way at all of building the cars. if they built all different every day, they would be resetting the machines all the time. hence why they do this.

They don't actually make the panels at that factory though do they? i can only talk about high end cars - Jags, LR & Astons but they all recieve the parts in and then they go down the track getting assembled. using the pre-made parts

for example aston uses the same line to build the DB9 & DBS, i know that this is very specialist and it's not really a moving track line as such.

i just assumed thought that's was what they all did?

Surely the only body panels that are different on the FR/Cupra/Boc are the bumpers, the rest would be the same?

I though the way it worked was that they waited untill a certain number of orders for similar specced cars came in and then did them all in one go.

I read that on here somewhere, but it could be totally wrong.
