Have now sold my FR+ and moved on to something else, as i mainly hung out in the mk1 section, i just wanted to say thanks to all those people who helped answer my questions and making me feel welcome.

Maybe one day i'll get the missus into one, but untill then,

Good bye.

Nice! Come back in a a couple of months and give me a bit of info on how you like it, what the running costs are like?

Poor man Porsche? In the same way that a Focus is a poor mans Mondeo? And a 3 Series is a poor mans 5 series?

The Boxster is a mid engine 2 seat sports car.
The 911 is a 2+2 seat super car.

Is the 911 a poor mans Porsche because it's not a GT?

The Boxster is the best handling car in it's class and I'll add it to my list of what I'd have instead of a Leon.

Looks like a Mk1 Boxster so a better looking front bumper will make it look a lot better.

Nice upgrade, dont worry about the stupid comments regarding the porsche aparently being the poor mans version. Any one that says that either cant afford one or has never been in one.

I've been in one and i loved it, my dad owned a Cayman S and now has a 911 turbo, great cars. Enjoy.

That has been my experience of comments relating to them too. There's nothing wrong with the Boxster - even the cheapest one is a good-looking, fine-handling, 200bhp, 150mph machine. Tidy.

I am poor, why do you think I'm buying a boxster? If I was rich I would have a 911 turbo. Anywho I like it and that's all that matters. Laters haters

You could take the same to any forum.

I'm leaving my Ferrari 360 for an 430.

Why? Are you poor? Can you not afford the Enzo?

Pointless.

Like you said, you like it, and thats what matters :) Hope you enjoy it - though lets hope you get more than the regulation 3 days a year for the British summer!!! Let us know your thoughts in comparison to the FR+ after a while.

3 days a year of what :) I've had the top down on mine pretty much every day since the hardtop came off at the end of February, doesn't matter if it's a few spots of rain - once you're moving you don't get wet :) I know of one other S2000 owner who used to be on here who is quite happy to go 'topless' in blizzards as proved on the way to AMD earlier this year :D
