Indicator Probs - Cruise Control

Hi all,

Have recently bought myself a 55plate FR with Cupra kit... and joined the Seat-side :)

This week, I have started to get the fast indicator clicks which have been discussed in various parts of the forum...indicating I either need a new indicator stalk or the hazard-warning light relay...

So...I am ordering a hazard warning relay...and thinking about getting an indicator stalk at the same time...

But can anyone tell me if I can get an cruise control for a Leon? And are the controls on the same stalk?

yes you can get cruise control for the leon, i am looking at getting it fitted on mine, apparently Awesome can do supply and fit. You replace the existing indicator stalk with a new one that has the cruise control on, you can do it your self but you need someone with a VAG box as a code needs to be put in to activate the cruise control.

lots of folk, myself included, have had this done at awesome. For the price, you may as well get them to do it, rather than attempt it yourself as it certainly looked like a pain in the arse to fit when they were doing it! had to take the wipers off + dash apart etc to get it in.

Appreciate the helpful answers folks - one of the things I miss from my Saab is the cruise control.

Can anyone suggest somewhere a little further south than Manchester? As I am in Herts...thanks

No worries. I've personal experience of U18 and would recommend their services.

Not heard of Vagtech personally.

Does anyone know if there is a garage in scotland that can carry out the cruise control retrofit to a mk2 leon?
If not will arrange to take to the guys in manchester at Awesome! Would anyone recommend them?

Unless they havent updated their site, the page here says they are in Milton Keynes. Though this might be better for you if you live further north in Herts. I know that there is a VAG specialist in Leighton Buzzard called Total VAG, I'm going to be using them to fit a few things soon, and they seem to have a decent reputation here. Havent actually thought to ask them about cruise control. Might be heading there this week. If I do I'll ask about it if I remember :)

I'm in Hemel and looked into cruise control too earlier this year. There is a place based in Hemel (luckily for me) that does fitting too. Here's a link if you would like to check it out.

Also try Ben at Shark Performance in Mansfield. He specialises in retrofitting on VAG cars.

I've had a maxidot MFD retrofitted to my Octavia by Ben, and cannot fault his service.
Will be going back to him soon to get cruise fitted to the Leon
