Only 2 Weeks away, but already preparations are being made for what is traditionally a good weekend.. If the weather is good, then its very good, but if its wet, then dont forget your canoe.....

The Barmy Army will be camping in its traditional location, Ie Working mens club , a couple of miles away from the circuit.

Then Sunday morning, we aim to arrange a meeting point for anyone who wishes to travel in together. In years gone by, its always been the pub on the left just before the bridge over the river, ( cannot remeber the name ). Unfortunatly we dont get any preferential parking, but there is nothing stopping us all arriving together and parking close.

Then of course everyone is welcome to join us at our designated viewing point ( to be decided )

So if you are interested in meeting up Sunday, the invite is here..

I'll be there
Have you got your tickets yet, been on the site today to order mine and the advance price looks to be almost as much as gate price! (probably more once I've paid p&p + handling charge) Might as well get it on the day.

Of course, it wouldnt be the same without you guys........

Mal has Facebook reached your neck of the woods yet, if so the Barmy Army have a page on there, just search for the BTCC Barmy Army, would be great if you could upload some of your pics there,

Howdy folks... just so people don't miss us on Sunday afternoon - we're going to be somewhere in 'Paddock C' which it the support paddock on the airstrip.

Anyone who fancies watching the Clio race from the comfort of our gaff - feel free! We're on at 15.20.

Weather's currently looking grim as hell on Sunday...joy!

I'm going of course. The only time I do get to go to a BTCC meeting with most of you. Croft is my most local since I live in the Northeast in the Tyne & Wear. From the start of the A194/A1(M) motorway to Scotch Corner, even at a steady and economical 65mph you can get there by the hour mark.

I think it is best to get them through the post. I look forward to the day the white envelope plops on to the doormat.

Will look on The Weather Channel website for the forecast.

EDIT: Ain't good if you want perfect weather. Mostly sunny for Qualifying and Free Practice with a 10% chance of precipitation on a day with a high of 16 and a low of 9 degrees. Sunday is little bit better. Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of the wet stuff and a high of 16 and a low of 10 degrees.

Loud pipes save lives!
I might be able to meet up and convoy in with the Barmy Army on Sunday, not certain yet but will confirm when I know for sure.

Re: Weather - BBC Forecast:

Saturday - Sunny intervals with light rain shower forecast around 1600. Max 12C.
Sunday - Sunny intervals. Max. 15C.

Could be worse I guess...

Spot on.

In the last few moments it has gotten brighter but around 9:30 it started to drizzle hard. It has stopped I think but it is likely to start again.

Tomorow lookes perfect. An increase of 3 degrees on today and with no forecast rain.

In case anyone is interested Tom Boardman was sadly last in Free Practice posting 1:40.666. Hope he does better in the final Free Practice and in qualifying.

Just watched the Clios. Lots of coverage for Fulvio who did the only decent overtake but finsihed 5th AGAIN! Mind you did notice a rather large sticker for a certain car forum nice and prominant on the TV  Good work Hannah.

Hope you're catching the rays those who are there.
