A funny noise.

Hi all,

About two weeks ago I noticed a noise that sounds a bit like a wail, whirr, or bearing. It's not very loud but is noticable between 40 and 70 mph. It seems to be linked to the steering because the noise dissapears when I turn left. It's only there when turning right and going straight.

I checked the steering fluid and it's above the min so, any suggestions before I hand it over to a garage?

Thanks.

Defo wheel bearing? Should sound like a drone and does get worse round corners..

It doesn't seem to get worse round corners. It's only really noticeable between 40 and 70 mph, particularly when taking the foot off the gas and coasting to a slower speed.

I think you're all correct though, which is fairly reassuring 'cos I can just leave it 'till it gets on my nerves.

:)
