Problem solved Zach moved the heat wrap from the Charge pipe to find it had popped off.

So a simple £2.79 jubilee clip later we are all fixed :)

Hello all

2 weeks ago on the way to Bristol when pulling away my car started to kangaroo and then not seem to boost or want to move anywhere fast.

I managed to get to a layby and got trailered home.

I thought it was coilpacks so did a test to see if it was them but no luck.

I unplugged the MAF and it now idles and drives but when i do drive it i dont have any boost.

I got it hooked upto vagcom and it came back as lamda probe 1 bank 1 on the fault code.

The garage advised me to try MAF 1st as it wouldnt run with it plugged in. So they got one through and that didnt solve the problem.

I got a new lamda sensor from seat and had that fitted but still the same problem.

So im alot of money down and no closer to fixing the problem anyone else got any ideas?

Have you checked all the boost hoses for he intercooler?

This is what happens when one of the pipes pop off

The car wont idle either and will just cut out after starting

Thanks for the reply

The car drives with the MAF unplugged (No boost of course) could this still be the intercooler pipes?

Its got standard intercooler on it but it is remapped

But yes it does cut out and wont idel when the MAF is plugged in

I'm guessing, but if checked pipes ect..you checked your n75 valve

I havent checked the N75 valve no but no faults for this came up in VagCom would they come up a fault code if it was this valve?

And im guessing i cant check it without buying a new one and swapping it over?

this is something that is really puzzling me and chris.

i think if the intercooler pipe has come off it would still idle poor with the maf disconnected....

n75 would be a good shout but dont know how to check it

i'm still convinced its a dodgy maf and the genuine replacement one was duff too, need to test a working one i think

Im pretty sure the N75 can throw a code sure ive seen it somewhere

If it drives fine with the maf unplugged then i guess that cancels out the boost pipes

Would definately be worth trying another maf sensor or N75 and see what happens

Ok so need to find someone who i can borrow their MAF and N75 for 5mins then.

It drives fine with MAF unplugged but i dont get boost but i guess thats cause the MAF is unplugged

I've got a spare MAF sat in my garage, brand new (reconditioned) from GSF so it you want to drive over one night you're welcome to try it - I'm about 30 miles from Bristol, PM me for more details if interested

Even with the MAF unplugged you should still get boost so I'd be suspicious of a leak somewhere personally
