The leon 1.8t cupra 180bhp quotes 7.7s

I have a toledo 1.9 tdi 110 with a remap and a filter (quoted 11.2 before mods)

i'm gettin easily 8s every time, 7.56 is my quickest so far.. with a stopwatch used by passanger.

surely not right.. too fast? :S

What's everyone elses 0 - 60 times?

after posting this went out to the estate for a quick spin again... set 3 times again:

..... 0-60 .... 0-100 (mph)
1 - 7.61s .. 18.5s
2 - 7.82s .. 18.71s
3 - 7.60s .. 18.32s

That would be impressive if you were managing that out of your car. The first thing to check would be your actual speed. Your speedo needs to be reading 68mph for you to be actually doing 60. To actually be doing 100 you should be reading around 113-ish.

The other thing would be your revs. As far as I know, the Cupra's decent 0-60 is down to it being able to get to 60 in second, IE only one gear change. I don't believe a diesel can get to 60 in second gear?

I do stand to be corrected though, I'm not 100% on diesels I'm afraid...

I think I can just about hit actual 60 mph in 2nd gear in my V5. Use a GPS unit that has a readout of the speed for potentially increasing the accuracy of your measurements. Not sure how quickly that updates on handheld GPSs though.

That's kind of what I was basing it on, I know mine will bounce off the limiter somewhere around 65 on the speedo in second. And the V5 is fairly high revving, certainly a few thousand above the diesels. It would just depend on the diesels second gear ratio.

I'm not doing 60 til 3rd then 100 top end of 4th,

I'm changing gear about 4.5k
So yeah! Perhaps them times are pretty innacurate by the sounds of things haha.
I did try it with the sat nav but it's too slow updating,

The stopwatch is stoppping when the speedo ready 60 and 100 exactly,
I know someone with a cooper S which quotes 7.6s... if i go up against it i should notice the difference between what's being read and whats going on.

I'll let you know about the progress, thanks guys.. i thought it was a bit too quick to be honest
---------edit---------
Did the times to 66 and 110 (on my speedo)

0-60=8.1 <> 0-100=19.2.... a little more realistic anyways

Yeah, it sounds a bit too quick. I think the V5 is rated in the high 8s to 60, and that's 170 hp :)

The V5 is 8.6s I think? Although my old Vectra was meant to be 8 seconds flat, and the Tolly feels infinitely faster.

You must be very quick with gear changes, it's usually at least a second between dipping the clutch and getting the power back on. And if you're doing it twice that's not leaving much time for acceleration. Still, sounds like the remap has given you a pretty swift car! :)

Damn, 0.3 seconds out! :)

As for the review, it's one of many that praise the Toledo...so how on earth can they buy and sell for the amounts they go for? But I guess that's a WHOLE other discussion! :D

Well, if you're ever in the Midlands I'm sure I can take you on! :)

I was thinking of getting the VAG-COM logging sorted, and see what 0-60 time that reports. I'll put that on my 'to-do' list....

Haha looks like i gfot a few challanges now then :p

I dragged a 106 GTI and i was SLIGHTLY edging it to 60, and beat it by a fair way to 100
so tbh, looks like my original times were a fair way off!

i wouldn't lie to you lol.. i just had to post them becuase i genuinely believed it to be too fast and was wondering the sort of things which could affect the timing etc.

thanks for all the responses anyways, if you see a blue tolly with a big SCN sticker on the back.. and a spoiler with a brake light and FR badging, and a black bonnet and black RS4's... (a lot to take in i know)
feel free to pull me over for a drag :) haha
