Hi guys, im back in a cupra and need some help on a couple of small niggles...

First off the aircon pipe at the front of the car that runs behind the fans has managed to wear through from rubbing on the fans is there anything i need to do or be carful of when fitting this pipe? I had a quick look yesterday and it looks like the inlet mani maybe need to be removed?

Secondly when i turn on the ignition the oil pressure gauge needle just shoots round to max and thats where it stays? Im thinking either faulty gauge/sender or its been wired in wrong?

Cheers in advance.

Nope, lol its just a tiny project for a couple of months as im thinking of getting a LCR.

Where did you get your sender from, mines a prosport gauge if it makes any difference?

It will be best to de-gas the a/c system before removing any pipes, although it is probably empty already!

Whats the spec of your current Ibiza? Your last one was immense!

Yeh all the gas has escaped from the system due to the hole lol.

TBH the spec is right up there with my old one its running stg3 jbs04 (270bhp), theres a couple of small niggles to do nothing serious and abit of paint where sombody keyed it but other than that its mint and got it at a real bargain!

Yes indeed, welcome back David! I'm looking forward to seeing the new project, and hopefully getting involved on some of it. You can have some parts of my aircon if you come round and help me take the whole thing out. I already have the short belt :)

Yup its cupra-neils old one i have and very pleased with it i must say, saying that i dont think its going to be a keeper nore a project im just going to get the side sprayed and sort a few minor problems and then hopfuly sell it on for a little more than i paid for giving me a bit of a better budget for the LCR.

Im ready when you are Rich!
