Well I suppose it was inevitable that someone would snap up the Gold beast and yesterday it happened. I'm glad the new owner seemed like someone who will look after the car as I did and Matt (Bigfella) before me. He may also join this forum as he knows it's THE place of superior knowledge.

Today I picked up a Corolla T Sport as a stop gap to Hopefully getting my WRX STI next year.

Thanks for all the great info supplied over the past 3 years, you know who you all are :worship:

All the best Kewe. You've owned one of the most distictive V5's out there and have always been a ready contributer to this forum.

I'm sure you'll find yourself popping back in every now and again, like I have since I moved on. Good luck with the plans for after the Corolla!

Cheers Tartan. No the car will now be based in East Kilbride. Seemed a sensible guy so I'm sure he wont venture out in this horrible weather. I've been itching to get the Corolla out and see what 8.3K rpm sounds like but can't get it over 2K in this god awful weather.

I think I will always have a soft spot for the Toledo - Possibly the best car I ever owned and owed me nothing when I sold her

Cheers buddy, I'll be sure to keep dropping in ;)

How are you enjoying the A4 btw?

Yes mate, I am enjoying it. I still miss the tolly in a way but the A4 is a more capable car both in handling and performance. Won't rev quite like a Japanese car but it still took me some time to get used to using gears and revs for performance rather than torque! I'm pulling in the purse strings at the mo so I've still not got around to a remap but that is on the agenda at some point and I think 220 is about as much as I would want in a car that size through the front wheels.
