Removing battery..a problem..!

Hi, stuck on the basics here as i cant seem to remove the fuse box which appears to be clamped on top of the battery, the manual calls the clamp a 'retainer' and to remove from the front first and then the rear but there has to be a trick to this as i cant do it..??

Never came accross a fuse box on battery before in my first car, is there anything i should be aware of when removing it?

hello mate, changed my yesterday as the cold ended it. If its the bit I am thinking of you just have to lift it up. It pivots at the back so lift it from the front until you can't lift it any further, then the 2 little lugs at the back should be free to pull out (UP). Hope this makes sense!

Picture it like an envelope! Open the flap and pull the flap up! hahaha

that was on a LCR just saw yours was an ibiza!

get a nice long screw driver and you need to push the thing down and then pull the arms forward slightly. should release it enough to pull it up
