Hi
the glow plug light started flashing yesterday, having done a search it seems a common brake light switch failure, just checked and indeed no brake lights:censored:

the light has stopped flashing now but still no brake lights:confused:

anyway i know there a guide on the leon forum but has anyone changed this on a diesel ibiza and is it easy to remove the bottom half of the dash.

also there appears to be a couple of types of these switches black purple and green.can anyone tell me which one i need and the part number if possible.

any help much appreciated cheers

Dead easy to replace
Unplug the wiring
Twist the switch quarter of a turn anti-clockwise
The type you need is simply the latest that Seat supply, they have been revised a couple of times
Do not touch the brake pedal when you fit the new one
Just slot in, quarter of a turn clockwise and plug the wiring back in
Also, replace any blown brake bulbs!

don't need the part number mate,
Give GSF a bell, I get all my parts from here, I replaced mine about a year ago, about £6 + vat, take your time though, I ruined the first one by not taking my time, the instructions above should see you through,
Here's your nearest GSF, ring them, give em your reg and they will get you the right part
