Ignition Off Dial Lights stay on

found a problem with my cupra does anyone know about it or heard of it before.
i switch my car off take keys out off ignition and my dial lights stay on :S anyone have anyidea about it, Faulty earth or anythink any ideas guys?

I have the same thing, I took the 30 amp fuse out at the top near all relays and the dash lights go out it's doing my nut in tho

i know this may sound silly but have you remembered to switch the headlights off?!

Does the stereo stay on ?

Yep as beep saying r on, and yes radio etc is off

thats not fair! i dont get a beep to tell me my lights are on when i get out is this just on the cupra models? (sorry to go off topic :/ )

yea everything is turned off i even checked the connections on the back of the headlight switch and thats all fine i carnt rely think of anything it can be ive got no front end on at the moment so ill check the engine bay in the morning but it was the same b4 i took the front end apart!!!

is your indicator in the on position? my bora does this and im sure most of the vag range does.

Is the indicator stalk in the up or down position as this will engage the parking lights

indicator stalk is in the middle position so its not that hmmm this is weird going to have to keep searching :S

Yeah mine is the middle, I took the 30 amp fuse out above the relays which it's on it own,

i know it would sort it out but its not fixing the problem only hiding it a 30amp fuse will do more then just the light dials cause a 30amp fuse is rather big!

When you put your electric windows down do the dash lights flicker?

nope they dont lol least i dont think so never really noticed i think i would of seen it if they did like cause my window is always down ill have alook, get my new stuff off forge tmz so ill tell u when i fire the bag of scrap up again lol
