Please post any missfire/emission problems that you've had here and the outcomes. Im going to try and compile a thread on it since ive read of so many others in my position, i can then refer them to this thread to read though some of the similar problems people have had. By them i mean the dealers, of which mine have been pretty good on the whole in the past.

I'll start first, epc/emission light flashes now and again, then with a noticable missfire, missfiring becomes more regular untill shuddering and running on 2-3 cylinders, finally shuddering to a halt with black smoke coming out the rear.

Since then:

New injectors
New Software
New coil packs
New Spark plugs + and yet more injectors

Still the problem exists, just broken on the missis this morning, the fact that im in afghanistan and theres sweet FA I can do about it makes it worse[:@]

I love the car but I cant put up with this anymore, this has gone on since August!

I've been told that this time it will be new ecu/engine but having read other posts, AFTER the new engine, the problem still existed!!! Then i think i read somewhere that it was a twisted fuel line!!! After all that!!!?[:@]:censored:

I have had a problem since before Xmas with the car stuttering and then the emission light flashing. In a couple of cases the EPC light then went on and the car went into limp mode.

Last week the garage replaced the fuel injectors and then found that the fuel pressure pump also needed replacing - apparently there is a spring in it that was not re-extending to its full length.

This on its own didn't seem to fix it. They then needed to replace a spark plug and one of the leads to the injectors, but from what they were saying the big issue was the fuel pump.

But since then have driven 500 miles without any repeat of the issue, so hopefully they have sorted it.

I've had the emissions problem on and off since day one of having the car back in August. Going through the process of getting my money back but waiting for customer services to get back to me and they're taking the time to say the least....

I also have had misfire problem exactly as the rest of you have had, dealer suggests i've been putting wrong fuel in, not the case though always filled with shell V power. Dealers answer replace spark plugs, runs ok for 3 to 4 thousand miles then happens again. I think engine runs rich.,

Ive had the misfiring problems too, with the emissions light coming on.
It's spent almost 2 weeks at the dealers and got it back this afternoon. Their report said misfiring on cylinder 3, changing to cylinder 1. They changed all the spark plugs.
Not had enough time to put any miles on her to see if fully fixed myself, although the dealer did over 100 miles roadtesting throughout.

There seems to be a small number of the Bocs that are very dodgy and loose power. Mines an early one I believe. the later MY10 / MY11's seem better with less problems. Hmmmmmm, anyway see what my dealer says on Monday.

i just recently had this problem within two days,

was driving to my mates and car felt really jerky... Like it didnt know what gear to select so i decided to put my foot down then exhuast emssions light came on, then when driving home from work tonight same happened again but afterwards epc light came on and lost all power for a brief moment,

Both time it has happened was once the engine was cold so im phoning my dealership tomorrow to get the software update and to check it through diagnostics.... Hopefully this solves the problem as i have heard people getting new spark plugs, fuel injectors and so on and it would be a real shame as i really do love my car but i hope its not a serious fault as i wont be ammused :-(

Happened to mine before xmas. Emissions light then EPC followed by the judders, got worse and worse over 2 weeks so the replaced my whole engine.
Had my Revo put back on again now and its happened a couple of times and the lights remain on when switching on the ignition then go off. Going to give Revo a chance to finish their new software update in the next week or 2 then see if that solves the problem.
If not I guess some more new parts followed by possibly another new engine which will have cost them more than my car is worth!!! lol

mines appears to be fully fixed now after 1 month :D

first it was spark plugs, then new injectors, fuel tank was drained, new software, new engine then new injectors again then new sparks plugs + new software again and now it appears to be fixed :)
this problem went on for ages and it was in the garage 7 times. We got trading standards plus my dads lawyer involved which made them put in a new engine but the problem was still there till they replaced the injectors, spark plugs and new software. We also contacted Seat UK to which the gm said he would make sure that this problem got fixed. I hope this helps you guys as i know how it feels myself

= new car

I'm so gutted!!!, mine is going to remap this weekend. :(

Cheers!
We tried to get them to give us a new car but they said no... even though have practically gave me one in bits at a time

I badly want a remap but if I'd to get it and the faults appear again they will put the blame on the remap and take nothing to do with it :(
