Yeah mate i've noticed a big difference with it but having said that ive added the forge TIP at the same time as the turbo so that will have helped aswell. I feel the biggest difference in 4th and 5th gear the car pulls hard where as on the old k03 it seemed to die after 3rd! But overall the car feels much quicker through the gears, spools faster, pulls harder and feels as if it could give more. The k03 felt as if it had nothing more to give!

Oh cool!! I'm wacking a K03s on at the weekend, had the forge tip for years now, didn't really notice a massive difference with it. Can't wait to get it on! are you going stage 2 shortly?

since its been annoying me the last few days thought id whip the filter off n give it a quick clean, may aswell have it looking presentable even though itll be getting replaced shortly! also fitted new jubilee clips to brighten it up a bit, only a couple at the moment but plan on changing as many as i can to keep it looking fresh!

anyway you have all seen how dirty it was in the above pictures but when i took it off i was happy to find it was as good as new inside, so it has been doing its job!;)

back in place n looking a bit better at least (swapped the jubilee on the entry side of the maf to a new one forgot to take a pic after i did it:shrug:

also took the dv apart to check everythin was as it should be inside,
206965_214310945261220_100000469479138_858631_7635989_n.jpg

might upgrade to a yellow spring, is it worth it??

also had another wee blast at brightening up the inlet manifold, its getting there slowly
216589_214311205261194_100000469479138_858634_7825353_n.jpg

will be doing something about the bracket for the filter when i replace it aswell, and also going to re paint the strut brace when i decide on a colour. any suggestions??

when you get the jetex fitted you'll need to see about a 3" cold air feed too.

also with regards to the spring for the 007p..... green should be fine for now as your still only stage 1. once your stage 2 you will require a yellow one.

if your going with blue hoses and a blue filter..... what about a blue strut brace?? or even just colour coding it with the rest of the car yellow.

aye badly needing a proper cold air feed, will try and get some ducting sorted asap!! had thought about doing the strut brace yellow but might not look right? blue could be a shout! have also thought about gloss black or anthracite something subtle but nice? just think the red looks a bit out of place to be honest!
will get a yellow spring when i go stage 2 then and also give the 007 a wee service while im at it. cheers for the info sean;)

another mega annoyance dealt with today!!! since i got the car its had a pikey fix on the fuse box as a previous owner appears to have left a ****ed fan fuse in the fuse holder for ages resulting in it melting a bit so someone has routed wires out the fuse box and the fan fuse has been on display in the engine bay!! SO got a fuse box out of a smashed 1.4 leon a few weeks back from my mate whos dad owns a recovery company, the main connection looked similair so took it on the off chance it would fit as i got it for nothing anyway.
had to do a bit of modification to make it all fit and work but well worth it in my opinion looks far far faaaaaar tidier now:funk:

so started off by removing the old fuse box and checking the new one fits
206318_214570588568589_100000469479138_860031_4167283_n.jpg

from here you can see what i would need to modify, i.e drill out the blanks for the 3rd and 5th wires so they could be wired up and also cut a groove for the wires to rest in and so the box can be closed correctly as it was designed without the 3rd and 5th wires being needed.

the old fuse box
208145_214570748568573_100000469479138_860033_397268_n.jpg

can see here the differences between the 2 boxes clearer.

so onto the mofifying!

started by splitting the old fuse box to bits so i could use the parts needed to make the new box function as it should. got my dad to hold it open so i could take the pictures as he was helpin me (hes a marine engineer so knows more than i do:lol:)
206335_214570858568562_100000469479138_860035_6821048_n.jpg

i then split apart the old fuse box to add the necessary parts
215216_214570901901891_100000469479138_860036_5889459_n.jpg

as you can see its missing 4 nuts for the connections!

added the parts like so
215231_214570935235221_100000469479138_860037_5142039_n.jpg

drilled out the blanks and added the inserts  forgot to take a picture showing the blanks

put it back into place and realised at this point id need to cut grooves into the box to allow the wires to sit in them so i can close the box properly as you can see here.
208545_214571231901858_100000469479138_860041_4805405_n.jpg

with the grooves cut!
205791_214573221901659_100000469479138_860046_228316_n.jpg

and the finished article! (excuse the state of the battery :( )
