Electric folding wing mirrors

Since owning the car in the last three weeks I have managed to get them into the parked position twice.

This is once using the key fob and once using the button on the centre console.

I cannot get it to work at all now using either method.

Any Ideas ??

my 2006 altea, uses the mirror adjustment joystick when the car is running, turn the dial and wait for a few seconds, they should then more out?

however as you mention yours work from the remote im guessing oyurs is a 2009+ model?

2007 Altea XL Stylance

Will try again with engine running and put knob into folding mirror position.

I thought whole point of them was to put in folded mode once stopped.

Should the knob always be in mirror operation mode and then when you want to park them you twist the knob mirror parked position ??

I have a 57 Altea XL Stylance and the mirrors always fold from the keyfob no matter which position the switch is in. Just need to keep the lock button held down until they start to move. Mine doesn't work sometimes if I'm walking away form the car but I think this may be because the battery is getting flat and the range is reduced.

Now working

Moved them manually and ever since have been folding in with remote.

I think as long as you are pointing the remote at the car and not too far away they work.
