not that i have ever really left just very quiet on here...

basically had my ibiza for around 3 years and had a 350z for a few months from dec to end of may but sold that on and now partex'ing the ibiza against a 59plate leon fr in crono yellow has the dsg box aswell which i love.

Did try the cupra which i would love but running costs would have been insane.

so other than not wanting to actually hand over the money when i go and collect it im looking forward to it

Just my 50 pence worth here. I had a 57 plate fr dsg and was averaging 24mpg I now have a cupra and on the same journey to and from work I am now getting 28-29 mpg. I don't think the dsg box makes the fr economical and the cupra having the bigger turbo does not have to work so hard. My insurance went up by 50 quid a year.
Of course this is just my view and no technical explanation.

Enjoy your fr......

In the same boat mate looking forward to the car but not the empty bank account!
I did look at the dsg but I had a passat with dsg and it annoyed me as when you slow down say through traffic, it stuck it in first so all of a sudden you lept forward. I did like the quick up shifts though.

Does it have paddles in the Leon?

Your driving style might not of suited the dsg then? My Fr gets 28-29 when driving normally to work on a short run with a few stop starts...

dsg is just as economical as a manual i think.

Yeah was not saying that its soley don to dsg was probably me as well. Just I find I get more miles out my cupra than I do my fr and it drinks less oil ...

Sorry i meant to say i was getting the tdi, as you say the running costs wouldnt have been much better than the zed although tbf in the test drive i did it got to 30mpg which was better than the zed considering how i drove it.
