60k is for the petrol engines FYI, but yeah 4 years should be the time gap.

It's roughly 400 miles per tank, I think I average upwards of 35mpg a month, but as you probably guessed I have a bit of a lead foot.

Just looked at a Golf GT PD170 and it had 48MPG on it's long term trip computer.

didn't take it out in the end as was advertised as 42k miles but was 69K in reality. Checked the so-called full dealer service history and was last serviced 15k ago and hadn't had a cambelt done - they didn't even offer to include one in the sale price!. Come to think of it all the cars I've looked at have been due a service yet were at dealers advertised as FSH - what's that all about?

a good buy, you'll enjoy the motoring - I love mine (even after Injector issues :censored:
but they're all done & she's running sweet :D

driving reasonably sensibly (not quite Miss Daisy) you should see upto 450m from a tank full (depending on what / when you fill the tank) Driving like Miss Daisy you should comfortably get 500m plus but then it is an FR so maybe not :p

OK please beware this car should have a warrenty! I have just had a new engine due to a problem with glow plugs dissintegrating and destroying the engine. I rang the bloke we got it off a vw audi specialist he is seeing a few common problems emerging with the pd 170's in various cars passats etc! the glow plug thing and limp mode from clogged turbos! get an extended warranty!!! well worth it we have had so much bother with our leon as much as we loved it its going! 40000 or 4 years is what I was quoted from a seat garage for timing belt! since it went bang on 50000 miles 3 months ago the car has had a new clutch dmf engine, inlet manifold cambelt the works basically all paid for by warranty dirct get an extended warranty!!!!! big costs other wise!!! make sure the turbo is free of carbon build up and you'l be ok! Im getting a vrs tsi!
