o2 sensor changed and still get EML light coming on?!?!

Went to get my map adjusted at monster today put on rollers and was runnin 20bhp less than when i haf jus a ko3 :/ guy said was running very lean and had a code about o2 sensor. He says replace this and shud b able to road test it at full beans as he cudnt do this wiv it running so lean.

This info sound about right?

It might be the cause but the fact its running lean can still throw up the fault code for the o2 sensor even if its not at fault.

That was the case with me when mine was running lean and fuel pump was on its last legs, o2 sensor codes havent been back since i put the lcr pump in

So if the o2 sensor is not at fault its probably the fuel pump? How can i check the o2 sensor without buying a new one :/ and fuel pumps are how much?

lean can also be attributed to maf under reading.. and the car fueling for the airflow it see's.. ie less than actually went in = lean

what are the 032 block saying, and what g/s does it read under a power run in 3rd or 4th?

Cant answer any of the above until i go back to the mappers. Before he would do
Anymore he said get a new o2 sensor so doin that.

Unless i can log that sort of stuff wiv the free vagcom?

If i can ask the mapper for logs what info
Would i need to deduct if it was o2 sensor, maf or fuel pump at fault?

There you go Adam, these are tonights faults guys! but he did have a boost pipe pop off!

Could this code be caused by a boost pipe popping off? I wondered because when the pipes are on and the codes cleared there is no eml light on.

Comes up even when pipes dnt blow off.

Replaced o2 sensor and no more boost pipes popping off, EML light stayed off for 3 to 4 days then back on again today.

Just seemed to come on totally at random car still runs the same seems to go fine but i still have no idea what its actually running or what the problem is?!?!

Stuck for ideas now, will hopefully get Arron to check code again tonight so if its same code as above i dont know what to do apart from change fuel pump as Berg suggested but i dont want to just change things if someone could find the problem rather than me just keep changing things...
