Thanks guys, but you spelled my name wrong when Martin spelled it correctly on the last post! Sorry just obviously very personal when I see Amy it is like looking at another person's name and people spell it wrong in emails at work when my name is part of the email.

Moving on........went to scrap yard yesterday to look for a few bits and bobs nothing exciting will go back on a a weekend when more of the yard is accessible. Today and tomorrow I am going to GTI International!

Got myself another headlining there was 1 mk4 in the entire scrap yard a black 1.2 I think it was. Bit creepy robbing it from a dead ibiza, I robbed some door card clips as some missing too but nothing else in there I needed.
But a headlining, clips and interior light fro an Arosa for £12 can't be bad! Not sure what to do with it be dull and spray it black, get a pro to cover it but what I am liking digital urban camo maybe also thinking of getting it flocked.

I need a new cup holder (but it was broken in the scrapped one) so I will buy a new one tomorrow. My air con is working again thanks to my work getting an air con machine so it was free! Still trying to finalise wheels being done and need to get yet another bodyshop quote from a place that cares.
Also going to vinyl in gloss black my exterior B pillars.

sounds good, a camo pattern headlining sounds different and interesting!! go for it.

I am gonna sk lots of people first as not sure had a couple of responses saying do it so far. The headlining has got a slight crease down the n/s the side impact has creased the roof there but hopefully that doesn't matter. I am trying to find a place to do it for me now as my attempt sucked lol be okay is it was just square and flat but it curves so much were the grab handles are.

Random seeing you on the motorway that day.

Car looked good, only thing I hate is the stickers and tints (esp. the Neverbeen one...really??? ;) lol)

Keep it up :D

you not gonna like any of us in the speshul crew stickers we all got loads on our cars! I think it look heaps better with tints and i can leave crap in the back at shows and you cannot see it!
I could never do the ring very scary and i think being it has no run off best to start on a slightly easier track!
Hate is a bit harsh!

Fair enough then, just my opinion. Hate might be harsh, but them stickers annoy/crack me up, popping up on every car, I seen one on a Discovery of all things lmao
(I just don't see the point, so you going to have one for every track you've not been to)

Anyway, whats planned next? :D

only one other car with them round my way and it's a lovely little lupo, no one else got a speshul crew one or scene not herd one ha ha! It's joke it the point your point really as everyone got a nurburgring sticker not everyone has a sticker for other tracks they been on. Funny you mention that sticker because of it ended up having long conversation about cars etc with a local chap on Friday night.

Anyway yes been harping on about getting my wheels done for ages still struggling to find a place to do them, also new headlining covered but first a few issues to sort out.

Yeah I know its a joke thing lol.
Also people do have the real ring stickers as trophies, and other tracks (Dave R aka Dinky Dave has the track days he's been )

I can't wait to go in november, counting down the days, you need to go at some point, just don't drive like a racing driver, and keep eye out on people behind, and you'll be fine, also I have seen people go round in people carriers etc lol.

Oh yeah, well The Wheel Specialists are good, but you pay for what you get, I am going to use a place called Bournes Powdercoaters in birmingham from now on, heard good stuff about them :)

Light tint, dark it bit chav and asking for trouble IMO, advice i trimmed them a bit too much and the edges you can see in places or has unstuck a bit i glued it back though. I am too perfectionist I am never happy!

Suj I know you know the sticker is a joke but you asked am I going to put a sticker or every track I have never been on so I am saying no course not. As the most common track sticker is the ring that's why I got it.

There are lots of places to get the wheel done but prices vary dramatically so trying to go in the middle as to an extent you get what you pay for.

wheel should be in being done in 2 weeks, this weekend Timmbo on here is helping me sort out my seized front coilover adjuster and maybe lowering the back taking teh adjuster out not sure yet and fitting my gas bonnet struts too as I give up lol!

Also getting MOT tomorrow and I had to spend a bit of money getting a new valve fitted to my standard wheel and two of them balanced too while the other are away.

So getting there need to sort the headlining next may have found someone to do it through NW Dubs but on hold now as all this other stuff is being done.

oh really, sucks! well i am going to finish off and tart up the old girl before I sell her, new wheels as the laquer has gone on mine very annoying. So am after some OEM audi or vrs wheels to give it the OEMplush style i am giving it. Some body parts to be sprayed, want rid of the bonnet strip and just leave the roof, one of the side skirts needs refitting as its glue has gone off......always a list! if I could keep it as a project car I would but it needs more power and I need more space so its got to go. But I mainly need a new passenger seat mine wont tilt anymore and frosts want the cost of a new seat nearly in labour for fixing it!

Anyways not to hijack your ride thread, if I do loose a bits your got first dibs! oh while I remember I found a body shop based in shoreham that seems to have a good rep, they do alloy refurbs as well to an extent. Paintdevil on ship street small local place the kind i like.

Any recommend on where to get a good cheap service?
