a whole seat ouch, well it might still be there had seats give them a call it was in the top left yard in the middle if they ask black 3 door next to lots of VWs.

My servicing is done by Wheelbase in Burgess Hill, Tim Wheeler the owner is married to my Dad's sister so I trust them as they wouldn't want to upset me. I have been going there years and they know how pedantic I am about my car also I get trade discount as I send all our work vans there for MOTs and odd jobs so they get something back.

As for body shop you know people who been there then yeh? i left this as had other things to sort first, the wheels are being dropped off next weekend to be powder coated. All plans massively delayed due to the original Seat screw ups in Spring then crazy variations in powder coating prices!

I was gonna get my standard wheel done another colour but they are not in bad nick so may just leave them as gonna use them for winter time now so my wheels are not wreck so fast this time lol!

I would deffo sort the bonnet it is a very small minority who will want that everyone else will turn their nose up at it to be honest.

what is the axle busher lol?
A lot of mk4 peeps have done this so not heard of issues can always go back in. They only been like it 2 days so dunno seems alright so far, thin is without removing them you cannot lower the front as the back is so bloody high it looks stupid with the front lower, the front it no way near all the way down!

gonna be interesting as gotta put the standard wheels back on while wheel being coated. I do VERY low mileage so not a big deal thou. 54 plate on 47k lol

Yeah get pics up on here :D

tbh it'll be alot stiffer, so won't be too bad, I used to get 2 people (well bug guys) in the back fine, and it scrubbed only on arch liner (with top of tyre), so could get away with it.

remember people talking about trimming a certain bit of the arch liner so will keep an eye on it, I never carry passengers really only ever really one person in the front if I do. Will take a pic later as I gotta swap my wheels over ready for re furb.

Here is couple of pics of the warranty paintwork mess up, basically they never bothered to take the rub strips off and taped round them and they damaged the wing they fitted last time also orange peel look to under the rub strip but hard to photograph. Hopefully I will book this in to be done next month.

Needs a new shock bolt each side as corroded and still need to vinyl the external pillars, I cannot get them off so will do them in situ.

looked worse than that first 2 times, yes it went back twice I gave up as costing me money to drive an hour out of my way and pissing my work off going there and being late! It was grey no joke! Luckily the 2 wings paint is okay apart from that nick in it above. I may eave it til next spring as had about 4 months of body shop hell this year and fed up!
