a little help needed with my friends 2000 tt 225

Hi all my friends having some trouble with his 2000 audi tt its a 1.8 20vt 225,mapped to 270 its showing no fault codes on vcds. Its idling lumpy and it wont rev past 5200 whilst driving, ive had a look about and cant see any broken vac hoses or anything like that and ive tried unplugging the maf but it still seems like it hits a limiter at 5200. Has anyone had a fault like this? Can anyone help!

Sounds like coil packs to me.

You may want to try disconnecting the MAF and going for a spin and seeing if it makes a difference. If it does then a new MAF is required.

have u checked the crankcase breather hoses an the spaceship as when the diaphrams fail they do this
