Not good news at all, but if the turbo turns up this side of christmas i will be happy... still got quite a bit of fabricating to do, plus car needs painting and all the bodywork sorting, so i won't be getting bored for a while :D
Production has moved back to JANAURY 2012/FEBRUARY 2012 at which point they will have approx 16 months worth of back logs to fill.

...I know of one company that ordered 50 EFR7670's in twin scroll format.:(

Thanks for all the comments lads, really appreciate them.

Update time....

I sent John @ Treadstone a couple of messages regarding my EFR turbo, unfortunately they are still waiting on the internal wastegate twin scrolls 7670 the same as everyone else is, they are just as gutted as me - they have developed some v-band turbine housings and cannot release.
They can't give me a exact time as they still don't know yet but they have had some 7670external wastegate twin scrolls delivered so i will give it another month or so and if the internal wastegate ones don't show up John will send me a external type.

Anyway I wanted to get the engine in shortly so when i get the turbo i can work out where to sit the turbo and design the manifold and exhaust.
I needed to buy a clutch & flywheel and some engine mounts so after doing quite a bit of researching i went and ordered the Clutchmasters FX400 6 Puck Sprung Hub & Flywheel Kit, they seem to have a very good reputation.

On the engine mount front i went for the Black Forrest Industries BFI Stage 2 Poly mounts.
I went for a pre-assembled dogbone mount & engine mount and an insert for the Gearbox mount -

Clay from CTS turbo has dispatched them so should have my grubby paws on them next weekend.

On the car front i have been working on the shell for a while so not too exciting.
I tacked the boxes in for the rollcage mounts then had to make some mounts for the rear arches.
I bent some 2mm plate with a ball pien hammer to match the contours of the wheel arches then drilled and tapped it. I then made some plates to weld to the rollcage for mounts.
I've still got to put a cross brace between the legs above the wheel arches, im gonna use the original rollcage door bars and cut them to length and weld in the bolt ends, should stiffen the back up even more and let me mount the harnesses to.

I then cleaned up all the welds with a rotary wire brush and primed the joins using etch primer. I gave it all a lick with the seam sealer -

After all that i decided to start stripping the shell in preperation for painting...gonna stick with the original colour but the car needs the paint freshening up also the LCR bumpers / skirts / wings will need painting and i've scratched loadsa places with the rollcage.

I took great joy in ripping out the old Nokia hands free -

I've decided i am gonna install LCR headlining / pillar covers / door seals / glovebox etc as they look much better than the light grey stuff that was fitted.
Ripped out all the headliner etc and remaining interior bits -

also pulled the glovebox out, just got to remove the grey bit under the steering wheel -

Continued.................

Stripped out all the door seals / window seals / wing mirror from the drivers side and removed the quarter windows, what a pita they were !

Will need to order new window seals as the metal inside the rubber has started corroding and causing small bubbles under the rubber.

I can see this turning into a full nut and bolt rebuild........hopefully be done for next summer.

Every time I look at your build I convince myself how much I need a rollcage! Very neat installation.. I don't know if you saw but I posted some data on pg 40 of my RR about the N/A cam duration's.

Cheers bud appreciate it, i did have a look on vagoc.co.uk and the forum seems ok but you have to spend quite a bit of time posting etc before you get access to the readers rides but cos i work away from home and have limited access thought i wouldn't be able to keep up with the need for posting.

Cheers matey, the efr's look awesome can't wait. I did speak to sam but didn't go with him in the end.

Build keeps getting better and better. You not stripping out things like the speakers etc?

Cheers bud, i'm gonna drill out the rivets of the speakers when i get round too it, gonna be refitting better speakers eventually but its quite low priority at the moment. Also need to reseal all the door panels to stop the water coming in.

You know you need one James, get one ordered up, and yeh mate i did see your update about the n/a cams. I will keep an eye on your thread bud. Quite intresting to see how they turn out for you.

same cage as mine pal :p, Haldex system yes

Cool, and yeh it's a Haldex outta a TT / S3.

This is incredible Graham. Read through and its impressive to say the least! Can't wait to see this on the circuits. I wish I had the space and patience to do this!

Thanks Ape, hopefully be tearing up some tracks next year :D

Really appreciate all the comments from everyone. Thanks Guys :)

You will be waiting a while mate! lol
It will be near on impossible to tell how much the cams made a difference as I will never run the same spec on standard cams.
They are very popular in Greece though, I hear 30bhp gains are possible with the larger turbo's.
Never seen any proof though mind..

30bhp sounds realistic to me though considering the standard turbo cams are profiled for economy & emmisions.
