Looking to buy a ibiza tdi cupra 160 but have a technical question!! Please help!

Can someone tell me whether the BPX engines suffer from the same camshaft wear as the ARL engines? i've been told that the 150 Leon engine has this issue but i'm looking at a 160 ibiza and wanted to know if this is the same?
Please can someone give me some advise? found a lovely car but want to ensure its right.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's luck of the draw on any of the PD engines from what I've read so far, if the car's running really sweet without any roughness to the idle and starts nicely you should be ok. Personally I think I'd still buy one regardless of the risk. Sorry I can't be of more help but if you hang about maybe someone will be on later with more onfo.

Yeah i'm impatient! lol i found a great car but i'm wary cause of all that i've heard about the 150 leon engine!

All 1.9 PD 130/150/160 heads can suffer from this. The 2.0 PD heads where changed. Only a very minor percentage got this issue.
