Hello, Could i have the names and links of where people got their bulbs? as i am wanting to upgrade, and it would be better for people in future to find all the bulbs.

And if someone could clear up the Reverse light situation, i've only been glancing through threads but gather that the 3dr and the 5dr use different reverse bulbs? Can any catagorically state which uses which so I can update the sticky.

Officially it's called a W16W or a 955 bulb

You don't legally need a reverse light so YES - completely legal.

And far better than clouting something cos you havn't seen it.

Don't think so.

The DSG cars seem to have the same switching system as the MK5/6 golf - there is a residual 6v signal in the line which causes LED bulbs to strobe.

Working on both sides at the mo - currently the light cluster has no bulb holder or wiring for reverse light as standard.

I haven't got round to trying my solution to the reverse light but hopefully tomorrow I will have an answer or a solution to cars with DSG

I've done all those apart from the fog lights, which are HB4 and the headlights which are in the car still in the box, on my to do list tomorrow lol

I'm at work at the moment so can't get on eBay but I'll post up all the links when I'm home.

Ok as promised here is the list of all the bulbs I've used in my FR and would recommend to anybody else.

Exterior:
