Disassemble the console around the steering wheel / ignition coil?

I'm sure someone has done this and may be able to put together a guide. I've tried unscrewing the parts, but they still seem stuck together, I dont want to force it too much, and end up breaking it.

Cheers

the bit around the steering wheel (in mine the only black bit of the dash) is plastic welded to the rest of it. Take the clocks out and you'll see the welds at the back of the 'chamber'.

As BD said, why do you want it off anyway?

From what a remeber you need to be quite rough to remove it.

Also my rule of thumb when removing trims is that if it won't come off even after a good tug then there is still a screw somehwere lol

You want the wiper stalk off?

Airbag off (screwdriver frm behind to release the tangs)
Steering wheel off - big socket or spline drive
Small screwdriver to undo the stalk

Very easy, hardest bit is releasing the tangs

x2 :D

To add
Make sure u disconnect battery when taking airbag off, the steering wheel is straight and if u want to add a marker to it so it align it easy when putting back on,
Make sure u dont spin the slip ring whilst it off as you can snap it ribbon
