Hi when rolling down the road my tdi sport rider 08 57k sounds like a scooby it makes a noise just like one.
It does this even in neutral and even with the engine off a mate says it is a wheel bearing?
Someone else says its just Tyre noise. Any ideas please thanks:wtf:

It sounds like a "bub bub bub" sound with an interval of silence between the "Bubs" lol
Bit like a Subaru sounds on the over run?
It is still the same when cornering also?
Thanks again to anybody who can shed more light on this!

Given the roads then yes wheel bearing could have gone. I had one of my rear ones go at 60k. Mine was a constant drone though.

A buckle in the wheel or bulge in the tyre might be a cause but my money would be a bearing. Probably near side due to the extra loading from roundabouts

Do they not come as part of the hub assembly? As i was told that by a vw specialist that serviced my car?
