What did you opt for when it was replacement time on your MK5?

I just had Avon ZZ3's fitted to my curpa. £109 a corner so not the cheapest, but not quite in the same league as bridgestone's / continental's / pirelli's....

Read some good reviews on them, so hoping to get some decend mileage outta them..

Falken FK452's, at £60 a corner i'm not complaining.
They seem to be grippier and quieter than the stock potenza's, but not as progressive, they either grip, or they dont.
Need to deflate mine a bit, currently running at 36psi front and rear and it's rather fidgity

I've got the 215-45-R16s on mine so tyres are stupidly expensive. Changed the fronts last Summer cost about £250 all in IIRC for a pair of Goodyears fitted at ATS. Doing quite high mileage though so its probably going to need all 4 replacing later in the year, not looking forward to that!

Hi guys!

First, when I had my 15" rims I used Dunlop SP Sport. Quite good when road was dry and good also when it rained. Now, with my 17" wheels, I purchased 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE 050A in 205/40/17 and they are amazing. Quite soft tyres, and when driving fast you know you are always stuck to the road. However, they are quite expensive €150 (126 GBP) per tyre (including wheel alignment, balancing and mounting).

I was planning to use Avon ZZ3s on my cupra as I have been using them for my Nissan Silvia and they are the very good tyres for the price. Only thing is I a bit worried that it is costing you £109 a corner as this is what it was costing me for my silvia and my tyre sizes for that are 235/35/19 (fronts) & 265/35/19 (rears). I was hoping the prices for the cupra would be £20-£30 less :( doh!
