Didnt see you there.should have said and would have had a little race. I managed a couple of runs. 14.3 and 14.0. Not happy at all as stage1 was 13.7. This time i had stage2,itg,twintercooler,lightweight wheels and sticky tyres. It was about 1900 on sat and temp was 11deg. Maybe track was cold but could that add half a second?(was predicting sub 13.5)

Did you run Sunday?

How did you have it setup to run (D,S, etc)? What tyres are you using?

Damn!!! Almost as quick as me Lawrence!!!! With that time it places you just beneath me..... wher eI like to see you hahahahahahaha Just kidding mate. Those are some really good times and I am glad to see your getting into your stride with the motor now. I am sure within the next few days out at the pod you will manage to beat my time :-(. I must say though that with the summer approaching now you should maybe invest in an intercooler so you don't suffer heat soak......

Don't worry guys, I think the problem was mine and the DSG trying to cope with the torque. I only managed 2 runs on Sunday and they were 14.2 and 13.93. The starts weren't too good, especially the first, but on both attempts I changed up from 3rd to 4th early to stop breaking traction and the DSG decided to do it's own thing both times and gear back down to 3rd when I put the pedal in the carpet[:@]
On my test runs I was getting 2.2's for the 60' but only managed a 2.4+ 60' on the second. Bare in mind I had everything in the car including the spare wheel and full trim. There's definitely another 0.3 in my start and at least another 0.3 in the removal of the 4th to 3rd kickdown, so a 13.3 in full trim with a DSG remap and a decent launch is on the cards. Normally I would do 10-20 runs in a day to get a feel for the track, but it was horrendously busy and I had to leave early due to the MIL being taken into hospital! :(

York should be better;)

Even with all the issues the car is currently 5th on the 1/4 mile leader board.......for now:whistle:

Sorry to hear about the hospital trip mate, hope all is ok now.

I watched and video'd the 13.9 run but the sound is furbard, let me know if you want a copy of the video, will mute the sound. Pod was mentally busy yesterday, probably the busiest I've seen it, never had to queue for the sign on office!

So then looking forward to york guys, taking mine down the strip :) maybe a but anal but assuming resrs pumped up alot to reduce drag and the fronts? High for reduced drag or lower for more grip? Not impressed with the" fuel crisis" i had to put 95 ron in. Hmmmm
