Lol...whenever my funds are reasonable it rarely goes over 25mpg. Didnt buy the car for mpg...

exactly if you wanted mpg it would have been a tdi.

i have been driving quite sensibly for the last week due to petrol shortages from panic buyers and im averaging 35mpg

i have only just hit over 400 miles on a full tank and thats motorway driving for a good 350 miles of that. i would say usually i get 300-320 and thats short journeys ranging from 3-30 miles each day.

I paid £1.56 somewhere today for texaco supreme super unleaded.. now im not one to moan about paying for petrol but i put £10 in and it gave me 35 miles on the computer.. fooooook paying that when it runs fine on sainsburys super @ £1.39 a litre near me!

supermarket fuels are filled with all sorts of extra gubbins to dilute it, thats how they sell it cheap, asda near me a few years ago was mixed with ethanol and it ended up burning up too much and fookin every ones lambda sensors, didnt affect me as my car at the time was so old it had a manual choke so didnt have any ecu controlling the air fuel mixture.

pew are you driving a leon or the mk4 ibiza??? 38mpg out of a leon averge is granny driving lol i can only get 38mpg on long runs. if your driving the mk4 ibiza then i can expect it from the weight difference.

I'm suprised its not far off some of the other figures here.... must be my ballerina foot.... that and pure fear . I reckon on a track youd be lucky to see 15mpg.

Sainsburys super is shite it's like 95 ron fuel.

It's like, but its not - its defo 97 RON.

Lee you say it is shite but you give no reason why or basis for this.

please could you elaborate as I tend to use this fuel as 1st choice rather than V-Power which costs substantially more for 99 RON.

I had my car mapped at Bills, i used 97 super from sainsburys, the timing pull was mad so bill had to tone down my map to accommodate the shite fuel.
My now only drinks v power or bp ultimate

It costs about £5 more iirc for a full tank using v power over other less fuels.
