cam Tensioner

i have not long brought a cupra r and its had the cambelt done but was just wondering how many miles it is before the cam chain Tensioner needs doing thanks mike

Should have been done with the belt as should the water pump at the same time, hopefully.

Stamp in the book? contact the agent that did the work?
Otherwise by inspection which involves taking covers off.

Doubt the chain tensioner will have been done with belt. Belt tensioner you would hope so but not chain.

When should the chain tensioner be replace or do you just wait till they start making a noise cheers

No one changes cam chain tensioner with belt, it's not a service item, replace it when its faulty, simples

Just re read it and realised my mistake!
Chain controls the VVT which as stated is not a service item!
