Airbag light

They say you always get problems in three's, so hopefully this is my last!!

The airbag light has just come on and am unsure how to get rid of it. I have read around where people have bought something like the code readers on fleabay and this has reset the airbag light. (can't post link)

Is this correct? Is there a better type to buy?

Would this then pick up any other faults that the car has?

Hi
Needs scanning with vcds or a fault reader
VCDS will read of all fault codes, then allows you to reset them
Where are you based?
put a request in the vcds section

Ive never used a stand alone scanner but should be fine

no they dont reset airbag lights ive got 1 of them just resets and reads engine codes.

I have this on my car, i just put up with the light on, it could be the sensor with the airbag that is causing it to stay on ide get it checkd out to be safe mate

of course they can reset lights, and 90% of time you will be ok.
but bear in mind you dont know why it came on so if the fault is still there it wont clear for long if at all.
