Glass Guide - Average Mileage

Can anyone help. Currently going through insurance write off and had an offer minus a large chunk for what the insurers says is excessive mileage based on glasses guide average for my vehicle.

My MK1 Leon Cupra 52 plate MY03 (october 2002) has 123k on it. The insurer is saying glasses guide for a 52 plate as above average miles is 82k.

I checked the glass guide iPhone app and my reg (52 plate) came back as showing as a 2000 model (so clearly reporting wrongly) and average mileage at 82k but the app was wrongly showing it as a 2000 model and therefore surely this is wrong and they can't rely on it. They say glass guide have said its right too.....

Anyone able to confirm what that the average is (parkers for instance say 100k) ....

Average mileage is roughly 10k a year so for a 2002 should be around the 85k-100k mark

I agree 128k on an 02-plate is high mileage

Mine is an 05-plate (7 years old) only done 74k, so mines within the average

thats cool mines 123k on 52 plate but as glass suggest only 82k. So as thought it should be more like 10k a year so 100k is average
