thats the small kit isn't it? i was just doing to fix it to the mdf with the fibreglass then possibly some screws

no it was the larger kit. i would seriously recommend getting more than you think you need.

that's a nice thread but my sub is a lot bigger so it will need more volume inside the box so it will have to sit our in the bot a bit, not flush like he has done and that's where im finding it difficult.

in the talkaudio link everything he done in his thread is the same princable as to what you need to achieve what your after, the only differance is that you will need to make sides/top and base out of mdf and attach them between your baffle plate and fibre glass, you just need to work out what depth you need the sides to be...

keep up the good work, and keep the pics coming

I have just started to do my build. I have went the spare wheel route. I hope to finish it off in two weeks time.

I was going to go propped stealth in the spare wheel and tuck the battery in there too but my brake down cover states that I must carry a spare wheel as it was sold on the car.

your right it takes alot of resin and mat i've used 1 1/4 litres of resin and 2 packs of mat just for the first layer lol

my alpine type s 12" sub ideally needs 1.25 cubic feet so your 15" sub is going to need alot of space.

i am going to fit my amp either on the sub box or on a mdf rack on the other side

Just a bit of an update after the gf convinced me not to smash the bloody thing up ( it was annoying me),

My crappy tools that don't cut straight

The walls are just getting stuck to each other at the moment, then I will fiberglass it to the current fiberglass bit and I will then have a rubber strip running around the edge so I can bolt/unbolt the front as needed.

Well that's the plan anyway.

looks good mate. i can imagine how much u wanted to smash it up.

u have a good mrs if she convinced u not to smash it up

It was more a case of "we are supposed to be saving for a house and u keep spending all your bloody money on your car, so you better not waste it by smashing it up now bla bla bla bla......."

and then I stopped listening and walked off.

i have explained that its cheaper than buying one as they cost like £200 and even then my sub wont fit, so as long as it costs me less than £199 its cheaper
