balljoint help

hi,just chaging the bottom arm on my car and i have got all nuts undone ok,i haven also undone balljoint nut but the whole balljoint just spins with the nut and therefore cant wind the nut off the thread any tips?

clean off threads with wire brush and squirt with wd40 or similar
use a axle stand under the ball joint and put some weight on joint to stop spinning

yeah use wd40 first then put a mole grips on the nut as tight as possible, an use air gun if you have one or just use a rachet

oh then get a new pinch bolt an nut!

sorted that now,bloody drive shaft popped out from outer joint how do i know if its back in as its meant to be

just put a jack under it and keep putting pressure on it.if that fails then heat it up.

Best way is to use a decent hacksaw to cut through the balljoint just below the nut once its slackened slightly, someone else on here gave me that advise and took 5 mins tops, the new balljoints should be tight enough being new to assemble without spinning

how do i get a drive shaft back into the cv joint its popped out
