Engine rebuild troubles

Right guys bought forged rods off a member here and purchased standard bug end bearings to suit, how ever they don't appear to be the correct ones the rods have little groves in them where bearing has a tab that locates into them and bearing has no tabs ;( also the bearing looks far too thin to fit the whole rod here's a pic any help would be much appreciated cheers!

Anyone?! I'm guessing I have the wrong bearings?! Even though it says audi/vw connecting rod bearing

Aye wrong bearings. Genuines are only £70..

Go for the SPUTTER bearings from a Dealer. get 225 ones. or you can get calico bearings from badger 5.

you need tang'd bearings for those rods..
later 1.8t are tangless
