Just done 105000 miles in a 03 plate 20vt cupra with full service changed at every 8000 miles im the 2nd owner how long do these engines last before rebuild.and thats dealer service.

As long as they are properly maintained or well looked after then I suppose it's hard to say there are cars that have gone past 200k etc on here... My cars exactly the same services every 6-8k and im just about to hit 153000.

Thats good to know when i bought mine it had seat service history
To 64k now done 74k i service oil inbetween intervals

As said above it really depends on how well its maintained. I had a 1.1 saxo that still ran like a dream (even if the rest of the car had fallen apart) at 170'000 miles. Nver missed a beat, I believe this was the case as i serviced it every 8k miles ;).
Plan on servicing my LCR every 8k also, on 53k at the mo so should last a while longer

213978 miles on my petrol volvo s60...turbo went at 197k....2001 model and still going.....63k on the leon and hope to hang onto it for a long time

Bought mine with 71k miles and FSSH ... serviced since then by myself / specialist every 5k miles with high spec fluids... at 120k miles it sounds and runs better than it ever has done.

unfortunately not always the case as i have just found out..

mine has done 76k, replaced the oil every 5k replaced the coolant once a year with all high spec fluids.

unfortunately i have now got to replace the engine as i have a cracked water jacket in my block...

Yea really miss her been without the Leon now for about 3 months but finally bought an engine yesterday so really looking forward to her being back miss my leather lmfao

No I was going to but it was just a bare block no pistons, in the end I decided to buy hole bare engine and its another auq so straight swap really looking forward to do it gonna paint it all up befor I put it in, car needs a new windscreen now aswell lol poor thing looks a right mess needs some tlc big time!

I just brought one on 74k with full service history 75k now but a nail on the outside. Bodywork is now sorted and I have a list of parts longer than several arms I want!!!
