Well after selling my gt30 Cupra over 2 years ago I though that was the end of the Ibiza for me.

Bought supercharged civic type r 368bhp rotrex stage 2 set up
Evo 8 running approx 380bhp

Then thought about growing up and bought a e60 BMW 530d just was not quick enough.
So upgraded that to a e60 535d with a "got boost" remap it's immense at 334bhp and 544ftlb but can't thrash it around bends.

So thought I'd get a toy to mess about in.

2001 Ibiza Cupra R

Spec:
K04 023
225 injectors
225 air flow meter
3" down pipe
Blue flame cat back
Sports cat
Up rated engine mounts
THS inter cooler
forge silicon piping
Forge turbo intake pipe
Stage 3 custom code remap by bill at badger 5

Aprrox 270-280bhp

Feels a little sluggish at the mo so booked in with Craig at got boost to see what's the problem if there is any.

Plans:
Set of INA rods
High flow manifold
Hybrid K04
Bigger injectors possibly?
Better intercooler

Hoping for 320bhp?

Not going all out BT as the last one I had ended up costing me 16,000 with build and repairs!!

That car is cracking and turboboy looked after the car.

I wish people could look at this car and the word rockingham not come out of there mouth(be written)..

I took the pics above years ago. Was in lovely condition when I sold To Glenn.

Looks like its in good hands now thought and I'm very interested in how this goes.

You say it's feels sluggish? I had been in the car recently and I wouldn't of described it as that, the cars above you listed are in another league of power be careful your not trying to compare to a a grunt master of a BMW,and best part of 400hp evo/civic because it prob will feel sluggish, but then to someone else not used to powerful cars it would feel like the starship enterprise..

Good luck with the car mate, hope you return her other former glory.

Still i cant belive i have bought another cupra!! i have had 2 BT ones a gt30 and a IHI set up had a few stage 2 and now im back in another ha ha

My BMW cost me £19,500 and its not half the smiles as my cupra ha ha

Also the Rockingham Thing makes no difference what so ever ??

Car might of been thrashed about on track but im assured it would have been replaced with better parts than standard if anything broke or failed on the car.

All these ex track cars had fresh paint, pannels in some case's to make them perfect again before reslae to the public, so in a way it adds abit of extra history to the car!

better than joe bloggs ragging it around with a car full of his mates eehh ?
