Revo were right, it wasn't the software, but don't you think they should have offered a complimentary test to minds at ease?

i think they should of done

Even JBS/Custom Code offered to look at my old PD170 when it had problems, they did want to charge me though :cartman:

Exactly. It all counts towards the level of customer service you receive, and your overall satisfaction with a company. At the end of the day the best advertising you can get is personal recommendations, and they won't end up with much of that if they can't provide the aftersales as well as the sales.

Nice review!

I am myself also troubled by a car not running right after the remap.
Running Revo Stage 2+ and have no fault codes at all but a rich AFR and timing pull with noticeable feel of missing power in 4th and above gears.

I also must say that the service from Revo is not always to good. My thought is that they are under staffed compared to the amount of customers they have.
When companies tend to earn more money due to increased sales they forget to invest it in customer service or just ignore it.
Just feels as they are hard to get hold of but when you do so they give you time needed.
In my case i am located in Sweden so could not get the same offer of going to Revo HQ =) .

Now, i do question what is wrong with the ITG maf housing? It is supposed to be the best sized one on the market. Let us know more on that topic.

Nice write up. Glad you're happy with your car. Not sure I agree that APR have dominated the US mind.

Guess the fault reappeared after Evan had said on here that there were no faults?

The Revo plot was awful. Have you had your car on a dyno previously? If so, was the graph like that? Did you provide Revo with the graph?

On thing on the post I've quoted. Was your Revo software uploaded to your car by Revo or by a reseller?

If a reseller I'd have thought the issue would have been the reseller's in all honesty. I would have expected Revo to do something about the crappy dyno plot if let down by the reseller, but essentially they were correct about the idle issue being hardware with regards to your fault.

Did Revo actually suggest that the issue was with the MAF or just unspecified hardware? It's odd that the ITG is causing issues with a Revo map. Will you be changing your intake to resolve the issue? Do others with the ARP map & ITG see this issue?

Sorry for all the questions mate - I'm not trying to call you out of question your reasons for posting.

No, there was no faults after Evan had tinkered with it! (well, his calibrators)

Revo plot was awful! Yes had it dynoed! (p-torque said it was " a good curve" so thought nothing of it)

Car was REVO Hq'd

No Revo, sent me down the route of HPFP, made no mention of intake or MAF, they also said i might have a cracked exhaust that could lead to the fault code... (but these were all if's and maybes)

Great review (even better for me as I was going to get my Leon TFSi Revo'd), I'm sure a Revo chip would be a great upgrade but for the same price I'm going to get a APR or AMD remap after reading this review. Also I do love the badge no doubt my other half will say the badge is chavvy lol,,

Can you do it for any cheaper.... as that'll mean people would have spent £800+ for stage 1!

I'd happily switch to apr, for around £100 but not for £250 (does this include vat)?

A K04 map cheaper than £250???? In America our non-APR customers pay $899 for this same software. ;) That price includes VAT btw.

Glad your impressed.

I wish we had a APR dealer over here in Northern Ireland. There is no real tuners that specialise in vag stuff over here :-(
