Cars been sounding like a tank for a few weeks now. Suspected I had a cracked exhaust manifold. Took it apart tonight and found my manifold to turbo gasket was blowing. Fitted a new gasket but struggled like no ones business to get the 3 bolts aligned. I ended up with a breaker bar in the outlet of the turbo trying to lever the turbo across to align the bolts. Anyway manged to get everything back together, fixed the exhaust blow but now I have major lag and can't work out why?? Not saying I have but if the outlet on the turbo rotated slightly with me levering on it would this cause my problem? I obviously removed the silicone boost pipe from the turbo but I am 100% sure this is on and not leaking boost. I haven't disturbed any sensors or vac lines but I have checked them anyway. Any help massively appreciated!

Have you checked the vac pipe where it joins wastegate. Make sure it hasn't got a small tear from pulling it off. Lets hope the turbo ain't damaged.

Problem sorted, rotated turbo outlet clockwise about 5 degrees and now back on instant boost. Must be the way the air passes through the blades at a guess. Thanks for help :)
