No mate still in sunny Spain.

You lucky sod, didn't think you were due back yet, just can't stay away from us :) hope the cars performing well over there.

This evening has seen the rubber of the bushes removed, with some gentle persuasion and heat the just slipped out, no hassle and no smoke :)

I've managed to squeeze an hour this afternoon to do a bit more.

Got the bush casings out of both arms so they're ready for some purple stuff :)

Then had to cut the ball joints off as the bolts were rounded off, not having an angle grinder these were done the old fashioned way, with a hacksaw.

Thankfully that's now done so onwards to the next bit. I think next will be stripping the subframe apart, rebushing the subframe and the steering rack as well as replacing the bushes on the ARB.

Lots to get done and it's so close now I'm getting excited!

On a down note I had a warning light come on today, it's the wear indicator for the pads, but if memory serves me correct I've not got it connected so fingers crossed its just a dodgey solder and won't cost anything to sort :)

Cars come a long way since i was last on here mate, nice job :)

Yeah changing all the time mate, still got the love so still doing stuff lol

A small update

With everything soon to be changed on the handling front I felt another 'unrelated' mod was required. So after 'sweet talking' the misses I ordered a nomad double gauge pillar.

I missed delivery this morning so went to collect it this afternoon. The lady carried it out the warehouse, a big box plastered in fragile stickers. You all know what's coming next, damage to the box was clearly visible so I asked to check the contents before signing for the goods. This is what I found.............

Disappointed to say the least, I know it was the last one nomad had in the factory so I'm hoping they can sort me out another.

:( sad times :(

Got a few more bits sorted over the last couple of days.

I found the plastic trim that goes in front of the inlet manifold, I lost it months ago.

My twin nomad arrived, thankfully intact this time.

I then spent all evening at Tims work pressing bushes and bearings.

Tim in his true photographic style.

We got all the bushes done, both bearings out and one back in, I then ran out of time with the misses not being to happy so had to run home!

Cheers Tim :)

Looking good mate.

Looks very good mate

Cheers guys.

As a few of you are aware I'm having issues with the car revving at the moment. Seems to continue revving when you change gear and is idling high. :(

Took the TB off and gave it a bloody good clean.

As you can see, it needed it!

Also noticed this.

So replaced the pipe with one I had in the shed

I also fitted my nomad twin pillar. This is my old vs new

A lot better visability with this one when cornering compared to the old unit. Really happy with it, just need to get my second gauge now lol

I have an oil temp or pressure gauge kicking around in the garage some where, its the same as mine brand new never been fitted. ;) Also selling my center vent gauge set up inc gauges if your interested.

Picking a second matching gauge up this afternoon mate, paid £15 brand new. I do however need a clutch position switch if you just happen to have one of them. I'm currently awaiting a reply from our local S3 breakers to see if he still has one lol

The revving issue is driving me to the point of destruction now!
